Kenkoo Smart Clinic Platform 1/2
Kenkoo offers an ECG program designed for clinics and patients (also MDR certified for home use) to support heart health. The initial focus is on dialysis patients, who benefit significantly from continuous ECG monitoring during treatment. To highlight this use case, we created a landing page that explains the program’s key components: a 12-lead ECG patch, a transmitter that sends data, and a digital platform where cardiologists assess the ECGs and provide consultations. The design is lightweight, friendly, and modern, using clear language to explain the benefits. A login button gives doctors direct access to the Kenkoo Smart Clinics platform, allowing them to start using the service quickly and easily.

Kenkoo Smart Clinic Platform 2/2
The ECG dashboard gives cardiologists a clear, structured view of patient data, making evaluation efficient. After review, results are sent directly to the patient. Cardiologists can add comments, write a detailed diagnosis, and use tags to categorize the ECG. The patient overview includes all essential information, from anamnesis to doctor notes, offering quick access to relevant details. The platform empowers users with 24/7 access to ECGs and expert feedback. Integrated video consultations provide personalized care, while educational content helps users stay informed. More features are planned to promote proactive heart health.

VerbaVoice
Together with VerbaVoice, we created a platform that helps planners and interpreters provide digital services for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Through workshops and interviews, we developed an intuitive solution for planning interpreting services—from events to hotlines. Planners can create jobs, define shifts and skills, and the platform matches them with suitable interpreters. This replaces outdated manual coordination and offers a smooth, mistake-free workflow. We’re proud to support Verbavoice in building a more accessible world – also by redesigning their website with a strong focus on inclusion and accessibility.

mecor App
With the mecor App, patients with heart failure can better manage their daily lives. Daily questions and connected devices such as a scale or spirometer help track symptoms and transmit key health data. The telenurse sees when concerning values are entered and proactively reaches out to the patient—sometimes even recommending a doctor visit. The app also sends reminders when the next call with the telenurse is coming up. This way, the telenurse stays informed not only during scheduled appointments but also in between, ensuring continuous care and timely support, with the daily data from the patient.

HCRM
Telenurses have a busy day and must not only call patients, but also keep track of their illness, program, health status. But to build a relationship based on trust, soft facts like pets and living arrangements help. All of that is captured in HCRM.
To evaluate the general health, the right overview is needed, even over a longer period of time. Our task was to revise this area in the existing system so that the nurse is optimally supported in her daily work and the mountain of information can be quickly recorded and evaluated.

Navigating the regulatory jungle together – with focus in UX
Our video shows how we help you navigate the dense jungle of regulations surrounding digital medical products – without losing sight of the people who will ultimately use your application. Because in the end, one thing matters most: the user experience.
That’s why we walk this path together – step by step. From the very beginning, we take regulatory requirements into account to avoid unpleasant surprises later and to ensure UX doesn’t fall by the wayside.
With us, digital solutions are created that are not only safe and compliant, but above all intuitive and human-centered.

UX/UI Design
We create user experiences that feel effortless. Intuitive, accessible, and designed to support people wherever they interact – with systems, teams or technology.

Regulatory Compliance
We speak the language of regulators – and translate it into clear, usable interfaces. From MDR to FDA, we align digital products with regulatory frameworks. Seamlessly, from day one.

Custom Solution
One-size-fits-all doesn’t work for what you do. We design and develop solutions that are built around your reality – scalable, compliant, and beautifully functional.

Accessibility Certification (CPACC)
We’re IAAP-certified experts in digital accessibility. We don’t guess – we know what it takes to build inclusive products. Accessibility means inclusion: intentional, systemic, and embedded in every detail of the experience.

ISO Certification (IEC 62366-1)
We support medical product teams in meeting IEC 62366-1. With deep UX expertise and clear documentation, we make human factors engineering an asset, not a burden. Side effect: We sustainably reduce development effort.

Lean Product Development
We are fluent in lean development –building fast, testing early, and learning constantly. It means fewer assumptions, more insight, and smarter products with every iteration.
UX with impact.Design with purpose.
We’re a well-coordinated team of UI and UX designers with a clear mission: to make the digital space accessible for everyone – through bold, smart, and empathetic design.
Successful products in digital health require thinking about EHDS, AI-Act, ePA and compliance, while staying creative.
Our process.Case study: Pulmonary Embolism Aftercare
We designed an app to support patients after hospital discharge. It helps track symptoms, understand their condition, and manage emotional wellbeing—making recovery safer, clearer, and more sustainable.

1. Framing the challenge
Goal: define the problem space, surface gaps, and anticipate systemic constraints
The brief aimed to reduce readmissions, but no successful system existed to monitor patients after discharge. We proposed structured symptom tracking to collect data, to help patients feel in control and to track patient data accurately. But tracking symptoms wasn’t just a UX decision, it meant navigating privacy, data safety, and liability. In the German healthcare system, even simple inputs can trigger legal implications. We raised those early, and translated them into actionable constraints from the start. This reduced risk and accelerated decision-making downstream.
- Beyond the Brief
- UX Strategy

2. Translating complexity
Goal: surface hidden needs and shape actionable decisions
Adding emotional input seemed helpful – but raised new questions regarding the business goal of the intended service. Who handles emotional recovery? Who’s liable if distress is logged? Is it reimbursable? These issues came up early and we made sure they were part of the design process. What looked like a UX feature was actually a system-level shift that was made it actionable from the beginning.
- Problem Reframed
- System Thinking

3. Prototyping beyond the obvious
Goal: explore ideas within real-world limits
We tested multiple concepts – but kept only what could hold up in practice. Our final direction let patients log symptoms and mood side by side. That opened new clinical insight – but also came with risk. We mapped escalation logic, defined thresholds, and wrote around liability. Creativity wasn’t overlooked, it was shaped by constraints, and pushed further because of them.
- Design Feasibility

4. Testing in the real world
Goal: visualise, validate, and future-proof
We designed the prototype to be clear and calm, plain language, low friction, no dead ends. But in testing, we hit a wall. Patients often reported breathlessness, but it turned out to be anxiety. The tracker couldn’t tell the difference. So we changed the flow and logic. That made reports more accurate and helped clinicians respond appropriately. We also saw longer-term potential: pairing emotional and physical data could surface hidden patterns in recovery.
- Behavioural Insight
- Data Accuracy

5. Delivering clarity
Goal: make it safe, scalable, and easy to trust
By the end, the product looked simple – but carried weight behind every interaction. Although not in the way the brief first imagined we achieved the business goal. By shifting the focus from the hospital’s initial perspective to build something patient-first. The result? A simple, intuitive product for users, and a powerful, valuable tool for hospitals and doctors.

Human-centered thinking that really shows.
My collaboration with Ella on a challenging e-health solution was characterised by an advanced professional management of the product’s high complexity throughout all project phases. In her role as UX/UI Design Lead, she created the brand identity from scratch, and brought it to life as state-of-the art interaction concepts (visual & voice), designs and animations. Our client and the development team highly appreciated her thoughtful approach to imminent issues and her creative way of finding user-centered solutions even for trickiest e-health challenges. Her ability to advocate for human centricity in the context of product development according to ISO process instructions, make her an asset for any patient facing digital product.

UX that’s just right!
I worked with Ella and her colleagues at ELSA GmbH in several projects in the area of telemonitoring and self monitoring of patients with chronic diseases. Interaction design for this largely elderly patient population is extremely challenging and Ella was always up to the task. In a project containing a mobile app and voice assistant, I was extremely impressed with her concept and design of the visual cues for the voice interaction…
